The Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation (MDRF) has awarded a total of $175,000 in grants to nine charitable organizations focused on providing diverse services and resources to children and families throughout the metro area.

Organizations receiving grants are:

* Boys Hope Girls Hope helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college.

* Colorado Center for the Blind has been challenging blind people to reach new heights of independence since 1988.

* Comitis Crisis Center provides programs that help individuals in recovery from addiction, trauma, mental health issues and homelessness.

* Samaritan House serves men, women, and children facing homelessness in metro Denver.

Founded in 1988, the Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation is comprised of REALTOR® members and representatives from affiliate business organizations who belong to one of five local REALTOR® Associations – Aurora, Denver Metro, Denver Metro Commercial Association, Douglas Elbert and South Metro. Since its inception, MDRF grants have been awarded to more than 100 local organizations that serve thousands of families and children at-risk in metro Denver.

With a strong history of philanthropy throughout the region, these contributions mark the final grants being distributed from the MDRF. But for REALTORS®and charitable organizations throughout Denver and the state, the REALTOR®-based grant opportunities will continue thanks to the creation of the Colorado REALTOR® Foundation (CRF). Formed in 2015, CRF will carry on the long-standing, community-based objectives and traditions that have served as the focus of the MDRF for the past 28 years.

“As professionals who live and work in the same community, giving back to local organizations who are helping families and children at risk has always been our passion, and focus” said MDRF Trustee Kellie Cobb with Professional Restoration.

“With more than 21,000 REALTORS® in the state of Colorado, the REALTOR® brand and REALTOR® community are extremely strong.

On behalf of the generous supporters of MDRF, as well as the current and former Trustees; we are proud to have served and worked together to make such a positive impact inside our communities.”
